The company invests primarily in residential mortgage-backed securities issued or guaranteed by U.S. government-sponsored enterprises — Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac — or by Ginnie Mae, with its portfolio consisting mainly of fixed-rate loans and, to a lesser extent, hybrid adjustable-rate and adjustable-rate loans, as well as U.S. Treasury securities and money market instruments. A market capitalization between $2 billion and $10 billion places ARR in the mid-capitalization category.
